TA man commits suicide, charred body found in Panzgam Kupwara | KNO

Srinagar, March 15 (KNO): Charred body of Territorial Army (TA) men was found in its unit after he was spotted coming out of his room and suffered severe brunt injuries who allegedly has powered Kerosene over his body on Friday morning at Panzgam in Kupwara district. "We received a call from the concerned unit regarding one TA personnel who died in specious conditions within its Army unit at Panzgam. A police party was rushed to the spot later the body was taken for postmortem to District Hospital Kupwara," Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara Shriram Ambarkar told KNO. However, officials sources told KNO that, Army personnel identified as Mushtaq Ahmad, son of Nizamdin Pir of Chougal Handwara in north Kashmir's Kupwara district. They said Army personnel has powered Kerosene oil over his body and set himself on ablaze amid which he died on spot outside his residence there. The Army personnel has committed suicide, the official said. A police official of the concerned area told KNO that, "We have started to probe the incident more details shall follow, Postmortem will also determine as what the deceased used to set his body on ablaze and why."(KNO)
